Classes are on Tuesdays, 11.00 – 14.00 (approx.)
September 18
The first meeting is on 18th September, at 11.00 in the cafeteria of Hotel Gellért to get to know one another and discuss further details. This meeting is naturally free of charge.
September 25
We’ll be cooking: csirke pörkölt és csirke paprikás nokedlivel, savanyúsággal
(Hungarian Chicken Stew and Chicken Paprikás, with Hungarian Dumplings and Pickles )
We’ll eat what we have cooked followed by dessert and coffee
Conversation: basic Hungarian for day-to-day survival and Hungarian customs and attitudes, etiquette
October 2
We’ll visit the “Vásárcsarnok” (Budapest’s main fresh produce market) and buy the ingredients we will need for lecsó ( pepper and tomato stew)
We’ll be cooking: lecsó kolbásszal és vegetáriánus lecsó: tojással vagy padlizsánnal, lecsó szósz (Hungarian Pepper and Tomato Stew cooked with Sausage and the vegetarian alternative: cooked with Eggs or Aubergine/Egg-plant, and Lecsó sause)

We’ll be cooking: gulyásleves csipetkével (Gulyás soup with small noodles)

We’ll visit the “Vásárcsarnok” (Budapest’s main fresh produce market) and buy the ingredients we will need for layered potatos and pickles
We’ll be cooking: Rakott krumpli vecsési savanyúsággal, szalámi és kolbász kóstoló (Layered Potatoes with Pickles from Vecsés, salami- and sausage-tasting, with télisalami, and Csabai and Gyulai sausage)
